Lourdes Lake 14 July: the open-air version

A must-visit spot much loved by locals, Lake Lourdes is the perfect place to relax and unwind. Its shaded banks offer the perfect setting for a refreshing break, with your feet in the water, far from the hustle and bustle. Highly popular with paddleboarders and water sports enthusiasts, the site also appeals to walkers with its shaded path that circles the lake. An accessible and pleasant walk, punctuated by remarkable views of the lake and the Pyrenees, perfect before a well-deserved break to take in the panorama.

Something new to discover this year: the lake’s jetty has been given a makeover! Completely refurbished, with its light-coloured wooden benches, it has become a true haven of relaxation where you can enjoy a peaceful moment by the water’s edge. The perfect spot for a lunchtime picnic or to savour a moment of tranquillity surrounded by nature.

Our tip: from the Baloum walkway, just a stone’s throw from the lake, enjoy a different view of the castle from which to watch the fireworks! They’ll be set off on Monday 13 July 2026 from 10.45 pm.
