Established in 1921, the museum houses collections that bear witness to this diversity. Even today, this mission remains unchanged. The collections invite visitors to discover the Pyrenees from a cultural and human perspective, revealing the links that unite the landscapes, pastoral activities, crafts, popular beliefs and artistic expressions. The Pyrenean Museum is housed within the walls of the fortified castle of Lourdes. Allow around 1½ to 2 hours to explore the fortress, enjoy the panoramic views over Lourdes and browse the collections dedicated to Pyrenean cultures.
