Excursions Discover the most beautiful sights

Lourdes is the ideal starting point for exploring the treasures of the Pyrenees. From June to September, enjoy all-inclusive day trips to must-see sites such as Gavarnie, the Pont d’Espagne and the Bétharram Caves.

Discoveries departing from Lourdes

On Thursday, we’re off to Gavarnie!

Here’s a wonderful opportunity to immerse yourself in the Pyrenees, culminating in a visit to one of Victor Hugo’s favourite natural sites: the Cirque de Gavarnie, the world’s most famous natural amphitheatre, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A half-day excursion that’s an absolute must!

Free transport to Gavarnie on Thursday

Come and enjoy the fresh air in this wonderful, authentic little mountain village (1,375 m). Marvel at the Gavarnie Cirque, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to one of Europe’s largest waterfalls. We’ll be stopping there for two hours!

On Saturdays: the winning combination of Gavarnie and Pont d’Espagne

Every Saturday, we invite you to tick off two of the major attractions in the Lourdes–Gavarnie Valleys during your stay: the Gavarnie Cirque and the Pont d’Espagne.

The Caves of Bétharram

Just a few minutes from Lourdes, the Bétharram Caves invite you on an underground journey. A must-see on your next visit to Lourdes.

TESTIMONIAL

The organised day trips on offer make it easy to explore the Pyrenees from Lourdes. My favourite spot? Having visited them so many times: the Bétharram Caves!
