Driving and parking in Lourdes

Make the most of your stay thanks to the wide range of transport options available in Lourdes. The town centre is easy to explore on foot, whilst public transport, e-bikes, taxis and other services make getting around a breeze. You’ll also find all the information you need on parking your car and travelling to the valleys, the airport or the iconic sites of the Pyrenees.

City buses

There are five bus routes to help you get around the town easily.
Convenient, economical and more environmentally friendly than a car, Lourdes’ public transport allows you to make the most of the city’s sights and various points of interest.
Whether you’re heading to Lake Lourdes, visiting the Sanctuary, making your way to the Pic du Jer, or organising your transfer to the station or the airport… all this is possible by city bus!

The Tarbes-Lourdes-Pyrénées airport shuttle makes it easy to get to the centre of Lourdes. Timed to coincide with flight schedules, it offers a quick and comfortable connection between the airport and the town. A convenient way to start your stay as soon as you arrive.

Fancy getting around in complete freedom? Self-service electric bikes offer a simple, quick and comfortable way to explore Lourdes. Whether you’re heading to a tourist attraction, popping into Les Halles for a break or simply pottering around town, enjoy a sustainable mode of transport suitable for all abilities.

E-bike stations are located at various points around the town, allowing you to pick up a bike and return it easily as you go about your day.

Coach shuttle services to explore the surrounding area

Fancy exploring the Pyrenees without a car? The regular liO bus services make it easy to reach several must-see destinations from Lourdes, such as Cauterets, Gavarnie, Luz-Saint-Sauveur and the Pic du Midi. A simple and convenient way to explore the valleys, enjoy the scenery and have new experiences, whether for a day trip or a longer excursion.

PRM parking

There are several car parks available in our town.
There are 124 spaces for people with disabilities.
These individuals must hold a European Parking Card for people with disabilities, which must be displayed on the vehicle’s windscreen.
Parking for people with disabilities is free in all spaces within paid parking zones, effective from 18 May 2015, in accordance with Law No. 2015-300 of 18 March 2015.
Parking is limited to 7 consecutive days, provided the disability card is clearly visible.

To park as close as possible to the places you wish to visit, Lourdes has several pay-and-display car parks spread across the town’s various neighbourhoods, close to the historic centre, the Sanctuary, the shops and the main tourist attractions. Suitable for both short and long stays, they offer a practical solution to help you make the most of your day with complete peace of mind. Free car parks

Parking for free in Lourdes is easy thanks to the numerous car parks located near the town centre, the Sanctuary and the main tourist attractions. These car parks offer a convenient way to explore the town on foot at your leisure. In the town centre, you can also enjoy one hour’s free parking every day in paid parking zones, as well as free parking on Saturday afternoons, Sundays and public holidays.

Motorhome parking

Motorhome sites are available in Lourdes. Campsites in Lourdes also offer packages for travellers in campervans and motorhomes.
