Discover fishing at Lake Lourdes

Carp, often of a very impressive size, are abundant in Lake Lourdes. Anglers specialising in this species make the most of the regulations in place. Night-time fishing is, in fact, permitted on the right bank of the lake.

All species of predatory fish are found in Lake Lourdes, with the exception of the catfish. The common perch is very abundant throughout the lake. Pike, which can reach impressive sizes here, are a highly sought-after species, whether caught using still fishing or lures. The lake’s shores are also home to a population of black bass, which were introduced several years ago. Fishing for this species is catch-and-release only, as is the case throughout the Hautes-Pyrénées department.

Finally, zander are also present, generally in the deeper areas of Lake Lourdes. Anglers in boats or on float tubes can make use of the launch site near the Embarcadère to go and fish for them.
