1. Purpose and scope
Please be aware that when you visit our website, cookies may be stored on your device (desktop or laptop computer, tablet or smartphone).

As such, the purpose of this policy is to provide you with key information on how we use these cookies, the purposes for which they are used, and to inform you of your rights in this regard.

2. What is a cookie?
Cookies are small text files stored and/or read on a user’s device when they visit a website or use a mobile application, and are used by that website or application to send information to the web browser.

Throughout its validity period, a cookie enables its issuer to recognise the device each time it accesses content containing cookies from the same issuer.

Only the issuer of a cookie can read or modify the information it contains.

3. Purpose of the cookies used
The cookies we use can be grouped into three categories:

so-called essential or technical cookies;
audience measurement cookies; and
advertising cookies.
1. Essential or technical cookies

Essential or technical cookies are those whose sole purpose is to enable or facilitate electronic communication, or those strictly necessary for the provision of an online communication service at the user’s express request.

These cookies enable, in particular:

To retain the choice made by the user regarding the placement of trackers;
Authentication with a service;
Adapt the website’s layout to the device’s display preferences;
To store information relating to the contents of a shopping basket, or to forms that the user has completed on the website;
To provide the user with access to their account.
2. Audience measurement cookies

Audience measurement cookies are used to obtain information about the user’s browsing behaviour (examples of purposes include: measuring performance, detecting browsing issues, optimising technical performance or usability, estimating the server capacity required, analysing the content viewed, etc.).

3. Advertising cookies

So-called advertising cookies are linked to targeted advertising, i.e. the monitoring of users’ browsing habits, enabling the creation of a specific profile to display adverts tailored to them.

4. Third-party cookies
Our mobile website may also contain third-party cookies.

We ensure that these cookies are managed appropriately by third-party services, but we cannot be held liable for them.

5. Retention period
We comply with the requirements set by the CNIL regarding data retention periods.

Technical or essential cookies are retained for the period necessary to provide and ensure the proper functioning of the service.

As regards audience measurement cookies, their lifespan does not exceed 13 months. The information collected via these trackers is retained for 25 months.

Other cookies are retained for a period reasonably necessary for the purposes for which they are used. The validity of the consent given shall not exceed a period of 13 months.

6. Consent and exemption
According to the CNIL’s guidelines, a distinction must be made between cookies that require prior consent and those that fall under the exemption regime.

Cookies that require your prior consent are advertising cookies.

Technical cookies and those used for audience measurement fall under the exemption regime.

With regard to audience measurement cookies that process personal data, you may exercise your right to object.

7. Contact us
If you have any questions, please contact our Data Protection Officer (see our data protection policy).

8. Revision
In the event of regulatory changes or recommendations from the CNIL, we reserve the right to amend this policy. You will be notified of any new policy before it comes into force.
