Description
Immersion in the Sanctuary Baths is an act of faith and hope that is deeply connected to the message of Lourdes. Accompanied by volunteers from the Hospitality of Our Lady of Lourdes (Hospitalité Notre-Dame de Lourdes), pilgrims are welcomed to experience this gesture in an atmosphere of prayer and reflection, in remembrance of the request made to Bernadette: “Go and drink at the spring and wash yourself there.”
Open to everyone, this unique moment allows each person to experience a spiritual encounter closely connected to the message of the Grotto.
Immersion is available from April to October:
Sunday: 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Monday to Saturday: 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Please arrive one hour before opening.
Groups only (parishes, travel agencies, diocesan pilgrimages, etc.) are welcomed in the afternoon, by reservation through the Sanctuary’s online booking platform: https://www.lourdes-opal.fr/
No swimwear or special clothing is required. Everything necessary is provided to ensure privacy and dignity.
