Traffic in Lourdes
From July to October, Lourdes’ Council has set up a pedestrian zone around the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes, secured by retractable bollards.
Every evening from 6pm to 11pm, this area ensures visitors can stroll and discover the surroundings safely and peacefully.
We therefore recommend that visitors arrive in Lourdes before 6pm to have easy access to the Sanctuary’s surroundings and their accomodation, if located within this area.
If it is not possible for you to arrive before 6pm, your accommodation can provide you with temporary access to the zone. To do so, please contact your accommodation provider at least 72 hours before arrival to enable them to complete the necessary formalities.
For more information, download our
explanatory leaflet.
