The great passes of the Pyrenees

These mountain passes were made famous by the Tour de France and can be included in a number of sightseeing itineraries that will show you our many different valleys...

The Soulour Pass (1 474 m)

Passage through the Aubisque or the Ferrières valley to the Azun valley. (32 km from Lourdes)
Head towards Argelès-Gazost, Aucun then Arrens-Marsous.

The Tourmalet Pass (2 115 m)

From Barèges to La Mongie (50 km from Lourdes)
Head towards Argelès-Gazost, Luz-St-Sauveur, then Barèges up to the pass; or the other side, Bagnères-de-Bigorre and La Mongie.

The Aspin Pass (1 489 m)

Takes you through the Campan valley to the Aure valley.
(50 km from Lourdes)
Head towards Arcizac-Ez-Angles (D937 and N21), Bagnères de Bigorre, Campan, Ste-Marie de Campan, then La Séoube. Option to go to Arreau.

The Aubisque Pass (1709 m)

Take the N21 towards Argelès-Gazost, the D918 towards
Arras-en-Lavedan, Aucun, Arrens Marsous, the Soulor Pass, the Litor Cirque up to the Aubisque pass.
Regulated road (closed in winter, opens according to
snow levels in May or June.)
