A trip to the cinema is the best way to see the latest films on the big screen, and is great fun for all ages, whatever the weather! Whether you’re looking for cultural enrichment or just entertainment, Lourdes has 3 places devoted to the silver screen.

Cinéma PAX

Lourdes’ most emblematic cinema, located at the top of Rue de la grotte. Cinéma Pax is open again following major renovations. Equipped with all the latest technological innovations, it screens French films and foreign films in their original language, in very high definition (4K) with a quality digital image format, and 3D films.

The screens are equipped with Twavox, a system with a downloadable app for deaf people and those with hearing or sight problems. 3 screens: 1 screen with 280 seats and 8 seats for people with reduced mobility, 1 screen with 123 seats and 1 screen with 80 seats.

Cinéma Majestic

The Cinéma Majestic is the town of Lourdes’ historical cinema, with 270 seats. The screen is upstairs and has air conditioning. Screenings in French with subtitles in English, German and Dutch (dubbed versions in Italian, English or Spanish on request).

Cinéma Bernadette

The Cinéma Bernadette is located 50 metres from St. Joseph’s Gate at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes. It has special access arrangements for people with reduced mobility. There is room for 220 people and around 50 wheelchairs. “Je m’appelle Bernadette” film screening in French (simultaneous translation with headphones: in Italian, English and Spanish) and French subtitled in English, German, Dutch or Spanish. Ask at the central checkout for group rates (additional morning screening can be arranged).
