Transport and traffic

You will find public transport available throughout your stay in or around Lourdes. By bus, shuttle or plane, public transport is a great option.

Public transport in Lourdes

Several public transport routes are available in Lourdes. All the vehicles are accessible, in particular to wheelchair users.
Bus route 1 crosses the town from north to south via the SNCF station, the town centre, the Halles and the tourist office.
Route 2 will take you to Lourdes Lake from the town centre and the SNCF station.
Route 3 goes to the town centre and the SNCF station from the east of the town (towards Bagnères de Bigorre).
Routes 4 and 5 will take you to the Sanctuary and the surrounding area, from the station or the Pic du Jer.

Getting to Lourdes

from the airport

When you arrive at Lourdes airport, you can use the shuttle bus which serves the SNCF station and the town centre. These fully adapted buses reach Lourdes town in around 25 minutes.
