Our Lady of Guadalupe

Every year, the Sanctuary of Lourdes in France celebrates the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, honoring the Marian apparition that took place in Mexico in 1531.

This year, from December 12 to 14, 2025, the Sanctuary and the city of Lourdes are joining forces to offer you a rich program of celebrations and cultural activities.

>> Friday, December 12, 2025 – Opening Day
At the Grotto of Massabielle and Jean XXIII Hall

- 10:00 AM – Televised Mass in Spanish with mariachis (Grotto of Massabielle)
- 11:00 AM – Procession and floral tribute at the Chapel of Our Lady of Guadalupe
- 12:00 PM – Traditional Mexican meal with mariachi entertainment (Jean XXIII Hall – Information Center)
- 2:00 PM – Catechesis on Our Lady of Guadalupe (in Spanish)
- 4:15 PM – Televised Rosary in Spanish (Grotto of Massabielle)
- 5:00 PM – Mexican craft workshop: papel picado and ex-voto (Jean XXIII Hall)
- 6:30 PM – Friendly aperitif-dinner (Jean XXIII Hall) – Free
- 8:30 PM – Marian torchlight procession (Grotto of Massabielle)

In Lourdes city center and Jean XXIII Hall

- 9:00 AM – Mexican and Latino market (Place du Champ Commun): gastronomy, crafts
- 11:15 AM – Mass in Spanish (Saint Joseph Chapel)
- 12:30 PM – Traditional meal and cultural entertainment (Jean XXIII Hall)
- 4:15 PM – Televised Rosary in Spanish (Grotto of Massabielle)
- 5:30 PM – Cultural workshop on Mexico (Jean XXIII Hall)
- 7:00 PM – Grand Mexican Posada evening 🪅 (Hotel Panorama)
Festive traditional dinner, music, dances, and Mexican atmosphere – Price: €29 – Reservation required

At Saint Joseph Chapel

- 11:15 AM – Sunday Mass and final blessing / A moment of reflection and sending forth to conclude a weekend of fraternity and faith.
