Nestled to the west of Lourdes Lake, discover the peat bog, a site classified as a Natura 2000 zone since 2006. In this seemingly hostile place, some very special and remarkable fauna and flora thrive: the false ringlet, one of the most endangered butterflies in Europe, and the sundew, a small carnivorous plant seldom seen in France.
Lake Lourdes, listed as a 2nd category lake, is highly prized by fishing enthusiasts.
On the banks or from a boat, you can fish for carp, roach, tench, pike, zander, perch and black bass.
A night carp fishing trail is also accessible.
